i have had internet access for almost fifteen years now. i can't remember life without internet access.

i make websites for fun. i spend at least five hours a day looking at things on the internet. i rarely watch tv. i read two books a month, at best, but i read hundreds of websites a week. i stare at them for hours straight. i will think about something from the other 70% of my life that is not on the internet, and i usually research that something on the internet.

i read noah cicero's human war last friday. it is, to keep it short and shitty, one of the most entertaining and easy-to-consume books i have ever read. please click on this paragraph, go to his blog, and order a copy. i ordered mine from the uk. noah has other books, and i also recommend them, and will continue to recommend them. he is passionate without being overly intellectual. he is smart without being boring. when you read his books, you feel like an asshole, and you feel okay for being an asshole. you also feel like maybe he is an asshole, but you also think that this is alright.

it is simplicity in ideas and thought that presents the greatest potential for communication and growth. when you look for something on the internet, you don't have to go through some long complicated process to procure desired information, because it, for the most part, is readily available.
